Webfolders - Android

This manual is for older systems and/or software and is no longer maintained.

This manual is meant for 1A-server users. It explains how you can use Webfolders. With Webfolders you can safely connect to shares which have been made available over the internet. Webfolders makes use of the WebDAV protocol.

Requirements

To complete this manual, you will need:

  • The hostname of your 1A-server
  • The URL to Webfolders: https://<hostname>/webfolders/
    For example: https://domain.nl.alt001.com/webfolders/
  • Your username and password
  • Application WebDAV File Manager installed (Google Play)

Steps

Open 'WebDAV File Manager'
Open 'WebDAV File Manager'

Add server
  • Press the menu button
  • Choose 'Server Add'

Enter your information
  • Enter a recognizable name at Server Name
    For example: 1A-server
  • Enter the URL at URL
    For example: https://domain.nl.alt001.com/webfolders/
  • Enter your username at User Name
  • Enter your password at Password
  • Note: Files will be synced to the local folder that is indicated at Download Path
  • Press 'Registration'

  • Press the new connection
    For example: 1A-server

Webfolders is ready to use
  • When the connection has been established, the server will appear on the main screen of 'WebDAV File Manager'. When you press it, Webfolders opens.
